Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Community Preparedness seeks volunteers to serve in emergencies.

The opportunities for all nurses are practically endless! From caring for clients in shelters and clinics, manning a telephone triage line, providing client education and administering medications at a mass dispensing site, to caring for pets and their owners in co-located shelters, nurse volunteers are invaluable to the health and safety of Louisiana communities.

Certifications

Through our affiliation with the National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses, certifications are available in IV Therapy, Gerontology, and Wound Care. These certifications give recognition for skills most of us already possess. Visit NALPN.ORG for details. This additional certification can increase the professionalism of your entire nursing experience and background and will be a personal source of pride.
